Environmental Services

Brief description

For manny years now, environmental protection technology and environmental services have represented a growing sector of the economy with substantial employee and sales figures. Environmental services combine resource-saving solutions with economic advantages in crucial environmental sectors (consumption, energy, water) - in industrialised as well as in newly industrialising and developing countries. Despite the fact that environmental services can considerably contribute to a sustainable development, their significance is still underappreciated. The IÖW aims at analysing the win-win potentials of environmental services in national und international research and consulting projects in order to develop impules for action and directives for stakeholders from policy, industry and social organisations.
