Lifestyles, conduct and sustainability (LENA)
Period: June 2003 - March 2004
Supported by: project of the IÖW
Involved IÖW employees:
Maria Hage (Project leader IÖW),
Dr. Gerd Scholl
Description
The aim of the project was to update the status of research into lifestyle and related concepts. The central question was how these approaches can be used to promote sustainable consumer behaviour. Such promotion by political and business protagonists is a topic in many aspects of the IÖW’s work: in the research sector “ecological consumption” just as in the projects for developing sustainable products and services, for participatory product development and IPP. LENA linked these projects together through a theory and media debate and prompted a discussion within the Institute.
