The final report sums up the results of the research project which was carried out between 2004 and 2007 at the Technical University Dresden and funded by the BMBF within the research program “Knowledge for Decision-making Processes”. By analysing ozone research, climate research, atmospheric sciences, atmospheric chemistry, and the IPCC, typical characteristics and patterns of the interplay and mutual influence between science dynamics, problem oriented research, discipline formation, research organization and boundary organizations between science and politics are elaborated.
