Description

The usage of renewable energies (biofuels, biogas, green electricity and hydrogen deriving from it) can be considered to be one of different approaches towards a more sustainable mobility. As especially Brandenburg offers high renewable energy potentials, energy partnerships in Berlin and Brandenburg could contribute to extend more climate friendly mobility patterns in the region. In the light of those potentials, the possibilities to apply renewable energy sources in the transport sector will be identified. Based on those results, existing partnerships and the political need for action will be showcased. Furthermore, an inventory will be conducted in the participating regions of the INTERREG IV-Project Catch-MR. The results will be presented at an international conference of the project Catch-MR and published in a newsletter.
