Description
In the field of sustainability research it can be observed that the successful transfer of generated knowledge into the various fields of social and political activity remains limited. Causes are, among others, that the research actors often do not have suitable methods and procedures, to integrate the diverse social and political demands on the usability of results into the research process.
As a whole, a policy based on the principles of sustainable development currently cannot resort on a considerable reservoir of knowledge and cannot suitably tap existing potential to generate knowledge that is tailored to their specific needs.
Against this background, it is the main objective of the project, to investigate how results of transdisciplinary sustainability research better can be utilized for exploitation by the policy. Using the examples of the analysis of the two focus areas "Sustainable city" and "Good governance on the way to a sustainable society" the following question should be worked on among other things: How can the transdisciplinary sustainability research generally better be aimed on the policy consultation?
