Abstract

Climate change already shows consequences with varying regional impact and can be associated with both risks as well as opportunities for companies and sectors. To identify needs and strategies for appropriate adaptation measures, the IÖW conducted six specialized dialogues on the areas of civil protection, chemical industry, coastal protection, transport infrastructure, energy and insurance industry in cooperation with the University of Applied Sciences Eberswalde. The dialogue series took place in 2009 and 2010 and was concluded in a multi-sectoral national conference. The events were part of the research project "Stakeholder Dialogues: Adaptation to Climate Change", funded by the Competence Centre on Climate Impacts and Adaptation (KomPass) in the Federal Environmental Agency. The final report on the project in addition to an overall evaluation on the contents and methods also includes the results and documentation of all individual events.
