Cooperation between The Daly News and Blog Postwachstum
On the occasion of the 4th international Degrowth Conference in Leipzig the Blog Postwachstum widened its focus towards the international Degrowth debate and extended its offering by English articles from all over the world. From now on, the editors of Blog Postwachstum at the Institute for Ecological Economy Research (IÖW) will also cooperate with the team of The Daly News at the Center for the Advancement of the Steady State Economy (CASSE).
The Daly News is named after Herman Daly, one of the pioneers of the Degrowth debate and gathers contributions by Herman Daly himself, Brian Czech, Brent Blackwelder, James Magnus-Johnston and Eric Zencey as well as other guest authors. Starting this month they will share a selection of their posts with the readers of the Blog Postwachstum. This way, the Blog Postwachstum will be able to provide insights into the US debate on Degrowth and to deepen the exchange within the international Degrowth community. The other way around, posts of the Blog Postwachstum will be translated into English and published on The Daly News.

The team of Blog Postwachstum and the team of Daly News
The Blog Postwachstum is managed since 2010 by the <link en>Institute for Ecological Economy Research (IÖW), the Society for Ecological Economic Research (VÖW) and the Wuppertal Institute. The Blog Postwachstum is the leading online-medium of the German speaking Degrowth debate. More than 150 guest authors already shared their views on growth, welfare and the quality of life. It covers the whole range of the critical debate of economic growth by inviting proponents of very different positions to initiate controversial discussions. The authors are from the institutions mentioned above, but also from civil society, science, politics and business.
The Center for the Advancement of the Steady State Economy (CASSE) hosts the The Daly News at dalynews.org. It features pieces on a wide variety of current topics relevant to the development of a steady state economy from a group of regular contributors and invited guest authors. One underlying theme of contributions is the way dominant ideas of growth are behind the majority of economic, social and environmental issues the world is currently facing.
