Period: July 2010 - June 2013
Supported by: Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), Bonn

Involved IÖW employees: Jan-Peter Ferdinand, Ulrich Petschow (Project leader IÖW), Dr. Sascha Dickel

Description

Funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, the project aims to identify the most relevant manufacturing and consumption patterns of the future. Therefore technological and organizational concepts will be analyzed and assessed. Based on the past transformations in the context of manufacturing paradigms (from mass production towards a more customized and personalized way of production), prospective trends and tendencies will be worked out. In doing so, both technological and organizational aspects will be taken into account and applied to an approach of a low carbon economy.
