CORPUS “2nd Policy meets Research”-Workshop on Sustainable Mobility

The CORPUS Workshops on Mobility are face-to-face workshops that aim to enhance the connectivity between research and policy-making. They will facilitate community building and provide specifically tailored arenas for personal exchange, knowledge and sharing of experience among the involved scientific and policy communities. The upcoming Workshop II deals with policy instruments and strategies to promote sustainable mobility.

“2nd Policy meets Research”-Workshop on Sustainable Mobility

 Time: 6-7 October 2011

 Place: Szentendre (Hungary)

 Organizer: The CORPUS consortium

 Topics: Personal mobility, public transport, air traffic and climate are some of the issues that put major questions on the sustainability of mobility. The focus of the workshop is on policy strategies and instruments to promote sustainable mobility. The workshop offers learning from good policy practices in sustainable mobility from other EU countries, knowledge sharing of how to promote the politics of sustainable mobility inside and outside respective organizations and a network opportunity with other European policy makers and researchers in the field.

 Target audience: Researchers and policy makers working on sustainable mobility

 Speakers: Gergely Sulyok (European Commission, DG Mobility and Transport); Udo Buennagel (German Federal Ministry for the Environment); Dr. Konrad Goetz (Institute for Social-Ecological Research); and others
