Workshop

5 May 2011  -   6 May 2011
The "Policy meets research" Workshop on Sustainable Mobility I takes place on 7-8 April 2011 in Szentendre (Hungary). This workshop is the first in series of three within the domain of mobility. Each one will be a forum of intensive exchange, each with a different focus on sustainable mobility. The follow-up workshop is scheduled October 2011 in Szentendre.

This is a unique opportunity to directly connect and network with researchers andpolicy makers from all over Europe as well as the EU Commission on this topical issue. The workshops will offer

  • practical assistance in evidence-based policy-making for sustainable consumption,
  • a network opportunity with other European professionals in sustainable consumption,
  • learnings on innovative forms and methods of effective knowledge brokerage.

If you are interested in participating, please visit www.scp-knowledge.eu. You will receive a confirmation within five days of your registration along with travel and other practical information.

Please note: The number of participants is limited. We will strive to blend a geographically and professional stimulating and balanced mix of participants.

Here is what people have to say about the first workshop held on sustainable food:

"I appreciated participating in the CORPUS Workshop in Vienna because of the new people I got to know, the discussions with scientists, the new ideas, the different methods that were used to activate people, and the background information. I am looking forward to the next workshop and I hope that even more policy makers will be there."
Mrs. Elisabeth Freytag, Austrian Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management

"The group exercises were very effective in learning about national approaches to sustainable consumption policies. The CORPUS platform provides access to a great network and knowledge pool in the area of sustainable consumption."
Susanne Weide, German Council for Sustainable Development (RNE)
