The civil society is one of the three main protagonists of global governance. The number of non-governmental organisations (NGOs), syndicates, social movements and networks has risen constantly over the last decades. The workshop will provide an introduction to the general view on the political role and structure of civil society, and will highlight the special role of the youth. In addition, the structures of inforamtion and decision-making within NGO's will be reflected while keeping in view the question of democracy.
