In the face of the limited effectiveness of regulatory initiatives in the field of long-term changes in society, the necessary innovations cannot be triggered exclusively through governmental intervention. What is needed therefore are processes of social learning. The workshop will discuss the concept of social learning and favourable conditions for such learning processes.
