Consultation: 16. Sitzung des Ausschusses für Umwelt, Verkehr, Klimaschutz
Event by: Berliner Abgeordnetenhaus
23.11.17, Berlin

On the 23rd November 2017 the 16th session of the Commission for Environment, Transport and Climate Protection of the Berlin House of Representatives on the Berlin's Energy and Climate Protection Program 2030 (BEK) took place. The IÖW energy expert Professor Bernd Hirschl has been invited to the public session as an external surveyor. Hirschl criticized that since the BEK, which has been elaborated under the lead of the IÖW, is finalized two valuable years have been lost. Positively he commented on the Senate’s incorporation of many of the suggested measures in the programme elaborated for resolution. Moreover, he made clear that for Berlin to become climate neutral the measures of the BEK have to be implemented collectively and no measures are to be excluded.
