Impulses for a sustainable and decentralized bioeconomy in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania
The bioeconomy shall be a future field of the 'Regional Innovation Strategy' (RIS) of the Federal State of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
As an impulse to discuss the potential of a sustainable and decentralized bioeconomy in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Johannes Rupp presented various approaches and activities from two IÖW projects in a workshop with representatives from business, science and administration.
The focus of these projects is the federal level and, using the example of Brandenburg, the federal state level. On the one hand, these projects aim at strengthening rural areas and the greater involvement of raw material suppliers in the bioeconomy, and on the other hand, aim at developing climate and environmentally friendly value chains.
