Renewable Energies and their Impact on Local Value Added and Employment
In the course of the conference, there was a panel on “The Role of Energy in Development Processes“. In her presentation during this session, Katharina Heinbach introduced the model developed by the IÖW to quantify value added and employment by renewable energies in Germany. Also, she presented the results of a calculation of these effects for an average model municipality in Germany in the year 2011. After the conference, the paper was published in the proceedings of the conference and in the journal “Energy, Sustainability and Society“ as part of a special issue.
