Solar Energy in Berlin: State, Restrictions and Potentials
Bernd Hirschl explained why the production of solar energy in citiesis is reasonable and necessary and which role prosuming plays for it. This was followed by a discussion of a future scenario for Berlin 2050, the current political framework as well as possible measures for a solar breakthrough. He concluded that solar energy production fits perfectly into cities, and that the future Berlin government wants to make use of its potentials. However, the current political framework on the federal level is unsuitable to exploit this potential.
