Transformation Strategies and the Post-Growth Society
Two political strategies are controversially debated currently: The strategy of the Green Growth pursues a society in which sustainability goals are reached while economies continue growing. However, the vision of a Post-Growth Society aims at a society in which the principles of social justice and ecological compatibility are met independently of the question whether economies continue growing. The talk presents both strategies and the central objections put forward against them. Finally, Pissarskoi introduces two suggestions how the vision of the Post-Growth Society could be justified.
