Decentralised micro biogas plants ("micro-biogas") Development of transferable concepts of sustainable biogene residue and waste materials usage for micro-biogas production in villages and rural areas.

The project "micro-biogas" aims to develop transferable concepts of sustainable usage of biogene residue and waste materials for micro-biogas production in villages and rural areas. Technical concepts and feasibility studies will be carried out in one village and one rural area. The project plans to show economic opportunities to use decentralised biomass potentials in small biogas-fermenters and the subsequent distribution to the point of biogas usage. We also want to analyse the socio-economic framework as an important success factor for the later implementation and transferability of the concept to other communities. By doing this an establishment of the concept and its later realisation can be secured. Furthermore the main ecological aspects and problems of the technical concepts will be considered and assessed (e.g. GHG, biodiversity).
