The Environmental Technologies Action Plan (ETAP) was presented by the EU Commission in 2004 with the aim of comprehensively exploiting the potential of environmental technologies to improve ecology and sustainability. In the context of the ETAP process, the German ETAP roadmap was presented in spring 2006. It sets out the political, economic and scientific context of support for environmental innovations and documents selected measures as examples of best practice.
In the project the German ETAP roadmap was updated, individual areas of measures subjected to an innovation-oriented analysis of strengths and weaknesses and a workshop organised at which the updated German roadmap was discussed by stakeholders from politics, administration, science, the economy and NGOs.
