PVACCEPT - Improving photovoltaic acceptability through innovative architectural design.

The research and developement projekt PVACCEPT (funded by EU) is investigating the thesis about about the role of non-technical and non-economical factors that influence the diffusion of photovoltaics, especially the role of design. therefore innovative PV-modules will be developed and applied in highly sensitive touristic areas in Germany (Rügen) and Italy (Porto Venere) on historical buildings. the choice of the object will depend on transferability. the modules will be developed in cooperation with several solar companies. the whole project is accompanyed by an acceptability study, and will lead to an increase of pv-acceptability by itself.
