The project “Sustainable Consumption through Social Innovation – Concepts and Practices” aims to explore potentials of social innovations for environmental policies for sustainable consumption. The focal point of the project is to develop a typology of social innovation and a practical guideline. As part of the project, IÖW takes up a leading role to bring forth answers to the question how environmental policy can promote social innovations for sustainable development. Additionally, by organizing workshops, the project supports and promotes strategic alliances for social innovations through dialogue with experts, multipliers and social pioneers.
