Environmental economic report 2022 for the state North Rhine-Westphalia

As basis for the Environmental Sector Report 2022 for the state of North-Rhine Westphalia this project is investigating the fundamentals and significance of the environmental sector in NRW. The IÖW is focusing on an assessment of the ecological effects and their economic valuation. The aim is thereby to classify not only the economic significance but also the importance of the environmental sector regarding the achievement of environmental targets like climate change mitigation. Based on the results, a final report as well as an impulse report for the consolidation of the environmental sector in North-Rhine Westphalia will be formulated. The results of the environmental sector report will support the state government in the implementation of the environmental sector strategy and will be used in networking as well as in business support.
