Economic conditions for companies in a post growth economy

In this article, the competitiveness oriented economic policy of the German Federal Government is critically analysed and an alternative socio-ecological orientation of economic policy is outlined. This would not primarily aim at competitiveness, but would include social, ecological and global concerns. It will be shown which policies in the areas of taxation, business forms - and sizes, transport costs, working conditions and economic development can contribute to such a reorientation of the economy.
