Urban gardens and parks are important for the urban climate, biodiversity, and the quality of life for people living in cities. How can the benefits they provide be captured and included in urban policy decision-making to make urban land management more sustainable?
The final report of the first project phase of GartenLeistungen summarizes the results of three years of research: IÖW researchers, together with practitioners in living labs and with the help of survey studies, investigated the multidimensional services of gardens and parks and derived recommendations for action for socially, ecologically and economically sustainable land and material flow management.
