It’s not always easy to be reasonable. Very often, reason is uncomfortable and a reasonable choice can be difficult to make. Fortunately, rational algorithms promise to support us and take care of our well-being. By developing and implementing such kinds of technologies, humanity continues to create technologies overcoming exactly what makes us human – with all its impulsiveness, irrational prejudices, emotions and confused feelings. Thus, philosopher Christian Uhle asks: Does the armada of smart devices constitute a new age of reason?
