The game SPIELinREGIONEN is all about making a rural area vibrant and livable. Public spaces are revitalized with fresh ideas, vacant buildings are creatively repurposed, and joint activities are initiated to promote social interaction and cohesion. Step by step, projects such as festivals, community gardens, and open workshops are created. The goal is to build a thriving, active community through creative, collaborative initiatives. The players are part of the rural neighborhood – for example, from local politics, local businesses, schools, or clubs – and directly bring their own perspectives and experiences into the game. 

The game is played in two teams of two to seven players aged 16 and older. It includes various printable components, some of which need to be folded or cut out before playing.
