Trend-Setting Factors in the Field of Central vs. Decentral Orientations of the Energy Transition and Starting-Points for Resilience as a Lead-Concept

The extent of the recent uncertainty about the future changes of the energy system is unique in a historic sense. This is particularly the case because the current energy system is destabilised. It can be foreseen that there has to be substantially more control systems at the level of the distribution network. The outcomes of the report showed that there is no consensual or unique approach to the future of the energy system and is still open to interpretation. There are two opposite concepts which were developed during the project: the Masterplan and Short-dated Management. Between those two, the general orientation of subsidiarity could work as a compromise between central and decentral orientation.
