Climate protection and adaptation measures have a wide range of positive economic benefits that are not always transparently identified and communicated. Climate protection measures can not only be economically viable, but also generate significant regional added value for other stakeholders and tax revenues. Climate adaptation measures yield numerous direct and indirect benefits. The promotion of such measures through the Berlin state budget should therefore be assessed more comprehensively and, for economic reasons, much more positively.
