Wertschöpfung in den Bioenergie-Regionen Einführung durch die wissenschaftliche Begleitforschung

The value added topic was top issue of the newsletter edition from 02/2016, published by the FNR (Fachagentur für Nachwachsende Rohstoffe e.V.) within its funding measure “bioenergy regions”. The contribution of the Institute for Ecological Economy Research (IOEW) gives an overview on the topic and presents preliminary results of its accompanying research project as part of the funding measure. The focus of the contribution comprises the illustration of direct and indirect value added effects in the bioenergy regions Mittelhessen, Mecklenburgische Seenplatte and Bodensee as well as key success factors and strategies to enhance the value added in the regions. The direct effects have been calculated for the entire funding period and cover the production of plants and plant components, the planning, installation and operation of bioenergy plants as well as the provision of biomass as energy source. The indirect effects, which cover bioenergy-related advance services, have been calculated for the year 2012. In total, these results can be used to show the regional economic value of the use of bioenergy in the above mentioned regions.
