The youth study “Zukunft? Jugend fragen! 2021” examined the sustainability-related views, attitudes and behaviour of young people between 14 and 22 years of age for the third time.

The scientific report presents the procedure, the methodology and the results of the study in detail and goes into more detail on the focus topics of social media and commitment to environmental and climate protection. It shows that movements like Fridays for Future continue to have a strong influence on young people. Social media also play an important role in the lives of young people. Although environmental and climate issues are not central content on social media platforms, they are still the primary place for young people to get information on these issues.
