Mats Yamakoshi

Studentischer Mitarbeiter

How can Germany achieve a sustainable and socially just energy transition? This question is at the core of Mats Yamakoshi’s work at the IÖW. As a student assistant, he supports analyses of community-based energy production in the InnoEGE project. Also, he conducts research on the role of sustainable energy technologies in heating networks in the Warm-Up project.

A key question for him is how to draw correct conclusions from large datasets and where the limits of quantitative methods lie. He seeks answers to this both in his work at the IÖW and in his studies of Social Data Science.
