How could biomass pyrolysis be established as a carbon-negative technology within the economic cycle – while simultaneously creating flexibility in the power grid? As part of the PyFlex research project, Max Klinghammer is examining the policy framework for pyrolysis plants. He supports the project by contributing to the Pyromof optimization model, conducting research, and by design work.  

Max Klinghammer is studying Renewable Energy Systems and is currently writing his bachelor’s thesis on the influence of a flexibility bonus on the operational behavior of pyrolysis plants.
