Sophie Progscha

Researcher

M. Sc. Socio-Ecological Economics and Policy

How can a transformation toward an economic system that is both socially just and respects planetary boundaries be achieved? At the IÖW, Sophie Progscha researches the topic of socio-ecological transformations, with a focus on governance, energy justice, and participation in the context of energy transitions.

The financial sector plays a crucial role in creating a climate-just, sustainable economic system. In the project Climate Change and Global Finance at a Crossroads, Sophie Progscha investigates which financial market reforms are necessary for a socio-ecological transformation and explores the role civil society plays in this process.
