The Institute for Ecological Economy Research (IÖW) is a leading scientific institute in the field of practice-oriented sustainability research. For over 30 years, it has been developing strategies and approaches for a sustainable economy - for an economy that enables a good life and preserves the natural foundations. The IÖW is a private, independent, non-profit institute that is financed primarily from project funds. We have no foundation assets and receive no basic funding from foundations, government agencies or companies.

Our common goal at the IÖW is to recognize and identify the causes of social challenges and to develop possible solutions - with curiosity and expertise, conviction and independence. Solutions for research designs and methods are individually tailored to each project. We analyze, survey, sift, assess, design, evaluate; we advise, convince and design - and always stay close to practice.

With your donation, we can advance forward-looking projects that go beyond the exclusively third-party funded project work. With your help, our unique expertise in the field of sustainable economic research will be strengthened.
