How can we better understand and support innovations derived from civil society in sustainability transformations? Sabine Hielscher conducts research that is concerned with social and ecological transformations with a focus on science, technology and policy studies and innovation research in societal change processes.

She holds a doctorate and is involved in the development of inter- and transdisciplinary research methodologies and practices. She contributes her many years of experience in transdisciplinary research to projects such as Collaboration in regions. Furthermore, she works with local and national organizations throughout Europe and gives guest lectures for researchers and practitioners.
