How can acceptance of wind turbines or solar parks be improved? Steven Salecki works out success factors for the decentralized energy transition providing support for decision-makers. The economist identifies participation approaches that promote acceptance and uses regional economic models to calculate how municipalities can best benefit from renewable energies.

Steven Salecki leads various projects at the IÖW and applies economic, regional, and business management methods. In his doctoral thesis, he combined these perspectives to analyze the regional expansion of renewable energies.
