Climate change alters and endangers natural areas as well as our social and technical infrastructure. Especially the transport and the energy sectors are based on critical infrastructure: failures in their assets that emerge from climate change impacts can lead to shortages in supply, disturbance of public safety and cause multifaceted consequences in other sectors - thus anticipatory adaptation is necessary. The lecture focuses on an analysis of the compatibility of public and corporate action concerning a well-adapted and robust infrastructure in the German energy and transport sector.
