Business Models for Reducing Plastic Waste Along the Value Chain – Towards Innovative Trends in Production and Retail
The presentation is focused on business models. The applied innovation terms have been clarified. Altogether, three different types of project-relevant business models have been identified which were linked with six approaches to avoid, reduce or substitute plastics in packaging.
It was concluded that the current practices doing by acting (characterized by single measure and change of some components) should be transferred to a strategic acting (characterized by a reconfiguration of business model components and a proactive business strategy).
