Economic Effects of Energiewende and Climate Protection
The Energiewende and climate protection measures cause costs, but many of the costs effects are exaggerated by the media and interest groups; (economic) benefits are often ignored. Many climate protection measures are already today profitable, and most measures and technologies for Energiewende have positive regional economic effects. Municipalities can increase these added value effects of renewable energies through active regional planning and the promotion of citizens' economic participation.
