Development of a climate protection strategy for the state of Brandenburg
In his presentation, Prof. Hirschl reports on the tasks, the procedure and the focal points of the report, which is to serve as a scientific basis for the preparation of the climate plan in the federal state of Brandenburg. The IÖW is collaborating with various partners on this report in order to examine the sectors of energy management, transport, buildings, industry and agriculture in depth. Within the study, first and foremost, the existing situation and the development of climate policy data in the coming years will be considered and on the basis of this, recommendations for measures will be formulated for the relevant sectors according to the two different scenarios and the GHG emissions remaining for the sectors. In his presentation, Prof. Hirschl further explains the concept of climate neutrality and the different possible budget options for Brandenburg.
