Development of policy instruments for increased use of renewable energy sources in heat production

The project aims at the assessment of policy instruments which target the increased use of renewable energy sources for heat production. Within the project, we will select an appropriate set of policy instruments and give advice to policy makers.We will develop a set of criteria to assess policy instruments concerning their implementation conditions, their effects on the market, their external costs and their conformity to existing laws. Based on these analysis, we will develop a realisable recommendation for a set of policy instruments which aims at increasing the use of renewable energy sources in heat production.
