Die Auswirkungen einer Integrierten Produktpolitik auf die Wettbewerbsfähigkeit mittelständischer Unternehmen

Since the beginning of the year 2000, the development of an Integrated Product Policy has reached the stage of concrete test and implementation. On the EU-level as well as in member states and in some German “Länder” first pilot activities are currently prepared. With funding of the Ministry for Environment, Nature, Agriculture and Consumers of Northrhein-Westfalia this study focuses on the impact an Integrated Product Policy can have on competitiveness of German SMEs.

The report describes the development and structure of Integrated Product Policy. It outlines the method and results of the empirical research as well as research questions for the analysis of dependencies between Integrated Product Policy and competitiveness. For three sectors, furniture manufacturing, textile finishing and fruit and vegetable processing possible future objectives of an Integrated Product Policy are described.
