Framework for the Feasibility of a Low-Temperature, Multilevel District Heating Grid

LowExTra stands for low-exergy pipelines for storing and distributing heat at different temperature levels. The publication summarizes the results of a feasibility study of a future-oriented multilevel district heating grid. This new grid is to enable a climate-friendly heat supply at district level. The authors respond to the technical feasibility, the cost-effectiveness and acceptance under the current political framework and derive policy recommendations.
