Indirect Effects of Global Climate Change on the German Economy

The indirect effects of climate change might hurt highly trade dependent countries like Germany much harder than the direct effects within their own territories. The working paper gives an overview on current research and approaches to assess and to handle this so far neglected field of indirect climate risks. It was prepared for the participants of a workshop organized by the IÖW for the German Environment Agency (Umweltbundesamt) in Berlin, 27th September 2016.
