Junge Menschen in der Klimakrise: psychische Belastung und Bewältigungsstrategien

The consequences of human economic practices and lifestyles are becoming increasingly visible and tangible: the climate crisis is making itself felt with droughts, heat and floods, animal and plant species are dying out at an unprecedented rate, coral reefs, primeval forests and moors are disappearing. These developments have been worrying people in Germany for decades. Young people are particularly affected: they are experiencing increasing emotional and psychological stress as a result of global warming and environmental destruction. The article shows how young people are dealing with the climate crisis and what support for psychological coping can look like.
