Sustainable Economic and Labour Policy in Berlin-Brandenburg Expert assessment/Final report

This expert report provides action-oriented advice for Berlin and Brandenburg in regard to sustainable economic and labour policies. The report concludes that an extensive change in the approach to economic policy-making and its implements is necessary in order to initiate the required widespread reversal and transformation. Research and development, and to a greater extent the implementation of sustainable innovations in a concrete context, are becoming ever more relevant for economic development. The close connection between these aspects, needed for an extensive transformation process, calls for a shift in perception by business development as well as economic and labour policy. Business development needs to see itself as an important initiator and assistant in this transformation process which supports social and technical innovation and makes related (market) opportunities more accessible.
