For Dr. Florian Hofmann, entrepreneurial and social innovations are both drivers of a socio-ecological transformation of the economy as well as important impulses for changing lifestyles and social structures towards sustainability.

At the IÖW, the economist writes, researches and advises on the topics of circular economy, sustainable business models and innovation processes of companies, innovation ecosystems and governance of sustainability transformations.

His research goal is to develop potential solutions for the future viability of the economy and society. He uses a wide range of methods of qualitative social research.
