Dr. Lea Kliem

Lea Kliem's mission: to explore how an agricultural- and food systems transition can combine ecological sustainability and social justice. As an expert in sustainable food and agriculture, she is involved in projects on food policy, urban gardening and the ecological and social impacts of digitalizing agriculture.

In her dissertation, she investigated how seeds as commons can contribute to the democratization and resiliency of agriculture. In addition to her research, Lea Kliem is involved in the Berlin Food Council to actively shape Berlin's food policy.
