M. Sc. Interdisciplinary Studies in Environmental, Economic and Social Sustainability
Tidian Baerens researches topics relating to the energy and heating transition. He uses a variety of social science methods to gain a better understanding of the wider context of social change – whether technical, social, ecological or economic: He conducts interviews and surveys and designs and moderates stakeholder workshops and focus groups.
The sustainability scientist puts himself in the role of municipalities, companies or citizens in order to identify possible obstacles and success factors of a socio-ecological transformation and to develop solutions together.
