As head of research field at the IÖW, Jonas Pentzien outlines sustainability-oriented transformation paths for the digital economy and develops tools to foster and sustain cooperative businesses in the digital realm. Since 2022, he has been contributing his expertise at the intersection of digitalization and sustainability to the Plattform Industrie 4.0.

As a political scientist, Jonas Pentzien has specialized in analyzing framework conditions for alternative economies, especially in the field of platform economy. Additionally, he evaluates sustainable consumption and lifestyles using qualitative methods.
